1B. Measurement Level

Reflects how much information data carries — from least to most informative:

  1. Nominal — categories only
  2. Ordinal — categories with order
  3. Interval — ordered with equal spacing, no true zero
  4. Ratio — ordered, equal spacing, and a true zero
